Hello again everyone and welcome back to another tuesday sauce review.
Over these past months, we’ve looked at most of the Screaming Chimp’s sauce range. Some have been hot, some have been mild, some have been sweet, some have been smokey and some have been just a little bit sour.
They have, however, all had one thing in common, aside from their very similar packaging. A fruity base made mainly from simmered fresh tomatoes.
Today’s sauce bucks that trend in favour of another fruit. Pineapple.

This sample’s of another smokey sauce, meant to combine the heat of their Stinger with the beautiful flavour of the last one we looked at, the Vic’s Ol’ Smokey.
Happy tuesday, heat eaters, I’m back from Reading Chilli Festival. In the coming months, there’ll be all sorts of wondrous new things featured here but today it’s time for something a little less new.
Something just as exciting, mind you. It’s my favourite of the Screaming Chimp’s product samples.
Last time we heard from them we took a look at their hottest “Stinger” sauce but this week we’re going back down to the very bottom of their heat scale to try out Vic’s Ol’ Smokey. A sauce that uses smoked paprika, instead of chillies, for its flavour but does back it up with bird’s eye heat.

This week, spice lovers, we take another look at the first of my Screaming Chimp Samples and I figure, why not start with the basics? Their original sauce. The one that got their company going.
This week I have been given another lot of free samples. Not, this time, from the company that makes them but from a local business seeking outside opinion on whether to stock them.
