Well, I wasn’t planning on it but then I found these:
Morrisons’ “Ghost Peppers” – Not the Bhut Jolokia we all know by that name but some pointy, white bells, intended to make cute little halloween ghosties with. Meant for stuffing.
Now, I might not normally be a fan of bell peppers, given how I tend to wake up the next day still tasting all the worst bits of them, but oranges and whites don’t have that effect on me. And the pointy ones are always a little nicer, anyway.
So I figured that I’d give them a go.

Hello again everyone, today were looking at the last of Cowley’s Fine Foods’ vegan jerky samples, their Shiiiitake! Thats Hot!
Now some people spell the word “shītake” with one “I”, some people spell it with two and I spell it with a little line known as a “macron” to denote a long vowel sound.
Cowley’s, though, have decided to use four “I”s.
Four “I”s that emphasise the pun that they’re making.

And yes, I know, halloween’s still almost a month away but what use is a holiday product review if it goes up on the holiday? I’m doing this early so that you have time to track down the items involved, should you feel the need.
Or maybe just to warn you what’s in store if you knock on my door this year.

It’s an interesting combination of flavours that isn’t clarified at all by its packaging.
Hello again heat eaters, for april I have another recipe/review fusion for you but this one isn’t my review of someone else’s recipe. No, this month I’m looking into an odd idea that recently caught my eye.
Chilli leaf salad.
I never thought I’d do a salad for this blog. Practically every salad I make just comes down to sticking my favourite raw veg in a bowl with olive oil and my latest chilli infused vinegar. There’s nothing exciting about it and it certainly doesn’t make for a main dish.
But, while this recipe won’t ever be the bulk of a meal, it is definitely an attention grabbing concept. Enough so, I feel, to stand on its own here.
Hello again folks, it’s time for another winter warmer.
Today’s recipe, however, is a little less sweet than our last, being less of a snack or desert and more of a full on meal. What we’re going to be making this week is a scotch bonnet and sweet potato stew.

Not that I’m going crazy with the heat today. No, today’s sriracha is a lot milder than the last and made by the Flying Goose brand many of you will know.
But this isn’t their ordinary sriracha. I’m trying their mayo.
